My fiance and I just set up an aquarium. Unfortunately, all of our fish died of fin rot and various other ailments. All we have left is an apple snail and an african dwarf frog. My fiance and I are thinking of setting up a Walstad tank in the near future.
I've had fish on and off throughout my life and this is the fist time I've even considered a natural tank. Hopefully it'll be healtheir for our little friends. I can't wait.
Keep at it.Glad to hear your not giving up after a major die off, it happens. I would def. say that lots of diverse plants is the best thing u can do for your fish. Just afew years ago I used to kill lots of Dwarf Gourami, Corydoras, and Tetras and Im possitive it was due to my inexperience with aquatic plants. Now that my plant are growin well my fish live years longer and BREED! Rob--->I want that Sponge Filter:)
